چکیده

A parametric study of twenty-five reinforced concrete ring deep beams using finite element analysis is presented in this study. This paper took into account the kind loading (partial and complete), diameter, depth, width beam, as well NO. supports. When compared to equivalent concentrated central loading, acting a partial distributed 25-100 percent length span increased capacity load by about 3-80 while decreasing max. deflection moments torsion 4-14 1-9 percent, respectively. Decreases 10-33 were observed when beam diameter was 20-80%, 30-145 8-23 depth 12-50 15-61 reduced 8-21 percent. circular 40-160 load, deflection, 142-690 26-62 137-662 Finally, supports 25-150 70-380 decreased 27-71 16-72

Finite Element Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Exposed to Fire

Abstract: The practical implementation of performance-based fire safety design of reinforced concrete (RC) structures hinges on the availability of accurate numerical simulation tools for the behavior of RC members exposed to fire. This paper presents a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model for the accurate prediction of both the thermal and the mechanical behavior of RC beams expose...

study of behavior of reinforced concrete beams with smart rebars using finite element modeling

in this paper the response of cantilevered reinforced concrete (rc) beams with smart rebars under static lateral loading has been numerically studied, using finite element method. the material used in this study is superelasticshape memory alloys (se smas) which contains nickel and titanium elements. the se sma is a unique alloy that has the ability to undergo large deformations and return to t...

Flexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling

The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...

cfrp eeffects on reinforced concrete deep beams

deep beams are type of beams which their behavior is different from conventional beams because of their particular type of geometry. in this paper, the retrofitting of these beams is considered and 10 deep beams are tested experimentally and discussed about retrofitting methods. experimental studies indicate that the use of cfrp bands in the direction perpendicular to diagonal cracks in compari...

Mixed finite element formulation enriched by Adomian method for vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams

Abstract: The vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams is generally led to higher order shape functions using direct finite element method, resulting in more time-consuming computation process. In this paper, the weak-form mixed finite element method was used to reduce the order of shape functions. The shape functions were first considered linear which did not provide adequate accuracy....
